Agenda:

•Constructing budgets from the ground up using detailed work sheets - Participants will follow along with a downloadable budget example of a profit & loss statement as we go through the process of creating work sheets that feed the budget P&L. Participants will learn to create their business budget using fundamental business drivers so actual financials can be dissected against the budget to make key strategic business decisions.

•Implementing statistical accounts for detailed analysis of variable costs - Participants will learn the fundamentals of using statistical accounts to aid in the analysis of their financial statements, beginning with the budget. In this section, we will take what we learned from the detailed worksheets to create statistical accounts that will aid in the future analysis of the business' performance.

•Sorting and dissecting fixed vs. variable costs and positioning for strategic decisions and pivots - In the next session, we will focus on fixed vs. variable costs and how the performance of each type of cost can be evaluated for cost savings, as well as how to budget the different types of cost.

•Contribution Margins and wrapping up the PL budget process - The training will wrap up with tying the fixed and variable costs into the calculation of the contribution margin as a key performance metric and how to build this metric into your budgeting process. We will wrap up the training with a recap of the key training principles discussed.
